Re: Tm1 Rules for string element
So is that a question?sairajsoma wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 8:39 am We can write N: right instead of S : for string element 'comment'
Or a statement of fact?
Do you have an issue with writing a string rule?
You can use N: it won't be a syntax error, but it also won't do anything! If you want to assign a string value to a rule calculated cell, then you must use the S: qualifier (and the cells in question defined by the area statement must in fact be string cells! Which means the element type of the last dimension must be S.) Oh, and don't feed string rules! Feeding is for consolidation. As text doesn't consolidate there is really no reason to feed a string rule, this just wastes memory and increases compute time.
As of now I'm confused what you actually want to ask.

With threads like these, no wonder ChatGPT is suggesting CubeNext();

Re: Tm1 Rules for string element
So Wim made a very reasonable request since your question made little, if any sense.Wim Gielis wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:16 pmCan you please write a proper question ?sairajsoma wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 8:39 am We can write N: right instead of S : for string element 'comment'
And you responded with something completely irrelevant making even less sense than the 1st "question."
I don't think it's even worth directing you to the request for assistance guidelines. Some people can't be helped.
