Mix Dynamic Subset with Static Ones

Post by macsir »

Hi, All

I just noticed if I created one static subset based on the mixed dynamic subsets and static subsets. I can use the parent without any problem for the day and all children are there. But if the server restarts, that parent static subset will automatically exclude the dynamic child subsets, which means only static children are left. The dynamic children are simply not included in that parent.

Does anyone have same situation? I am on 10.2.2.
In TM1,the answer is always yes though sometimes with a but....

Hello,

Honestly, I don't understand what you are telling here.

Can you provide step by step instructions to reproduce the problem, with a dummy dimension for example ?

If not, I bet you will not get a lot of valuable feedback.

Thanks.

Ok, here is the example.

Default is dynamic subset and FY 2004 Budget is the static. I created a static parent Subset1 to include both. After server restarts, the Subset1 only has FY 2004 Budget left.

I think the reason is just because the parent is static anyway.

Hi

I see what you mean. But I cannot reproduce it. After server restart, everything is the same as before.
I am on 10.2.2 FP4, if that matters.

Thanks, Wim

We are not in the latest FP4 yet. And I will try it later and post it.

Yes, Wim. The FP4 fixed this issue.
