Picklist problem

Post by Willi »

Hello,

I have a question about Picklists in TM1 9.5.2 with Excel 2010. I defined a Lookup-Cube where I want to define all my Picklists because they are not used in an active form. They are used in the static area of the Sheet. The picklist works in Cubeviewer:

Screenshot Cubview
TM1_Cubeview.jpg (30.72 KiB) Viewed 7752 times
But if I reference the Cell i Excel with a DBRW the Dropdown does not appear:

What am I missing?

Thanks in advannce

If you slice that one-cell-view to Excel to get the correct DBRW, what happens?

It's not sliced. I inserted the DBRW manually in an existing Excel.
Oh, in the Moment I pressed SUBMIt I got the question. If I slice it down it works. A hidden Tab is created. But even if I create the Tab manually in my existing Excel and create the Datavalidation it does not work

Do you use an Active form instead of a slice?

Yes. The Excel-Sheet contains an active form but the Picklist is used in the static area above the active form

As I said, slice (not active form) the cell with the picklist from the Cubeviewer to a new file.
If that works correctly, copy/paste the DBRW formula and the cells it refers to, to your sheet, above the active form.

It semms to be a Problem with the Excel-Cell/Row7Column. I put the DBRW-Formula in another cell and that works. I test a bit more

I've really no idea what was the issue. I put the DBRW-Formula in another Cell and it works. Beside a border the cell had no formatting.

You could have pasted a "good" empty cell over that "strange" cell and tried again.
