Hi,
Need some urgent help in TM1 Perspectives:
Can I connect to different TM1 servers in different excel tabs/sheets on the same excel workbook. If yes, how ?
Can I connect to different TM1 cubes in different excel tabs/sheets on the same excel workbook. If yes, how ?
Can I connect to different 2 TM1 servers/cubes in 2 different open excel workbooks and analyse data. If yes, how ?
Can I connect a TM1 cube in same spreadsheet that has data from other sources like HFM (Smart View), Bloomberg etc. If yes, how ?
I am using Excel 2010 and TM1 10.1 Perspectives.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

By consulting the Reference Guide (a link to which can also be found in the FAQ Post) on the arguments to a DBRW Excel function.jyotish84 wrote:Need some urgent help in TM1 Perspectives:

By searching the documentation for the expression "Slices" (which will also refer to the aforementioned DBRW formulas), or "Active Forms".jyotish84 wrote:Can I connect a TM1 cube in same spreadsheet that has data from other sources like HFM (Smart View), Bloomberg etc. If yes, how ?

Re: Connect to different TM1 servers in different excel tabs
As Alan has pointed out the answer to all of your questions is "yes" using basic TM1 functionality.jyotish84 wrote:....Can I connect a TM1 cube in same spreadsheet that has data from other sources like HFM (Smart View), Bloomberg etc. If yes, how ?
However just one point on your last question. If you use Excel with more than one add-in (TM1, HFM, Cartesis, Mokum etc) there may be some unexpected interactions.

Re: Connect to different TM1 servers in different excel tabs
Alan, could you elaborate a little bit on your answer? How does the DBRW function know which server to look at? Can you put 'server:cube' for the first argument in the function, and be connected to both servers at the same time?Alan Kirk wrote:By consulting the Reference Guide (a link to which can also be found in the FAQ Post) on the arguments to a DBRW Excel function.jyotish84 wrote:Need some urgent help in TM1 Perspectives:
