Hi,
When I am trying to open a design application in a contributor, i have got an error window like,
C:\Document and settings\username\application data\cognos RCP\Logs\Provagent 8.4\Provagent_8.4_2012_05_08_12_53_23.log.
I am unable to design an application in contributor.

Try using TomCat for the Contributor

Also make sure you have applied the latest Fix patches

I have the same problem. I am using TomCat 6 as the webserver.

There are two different Contributor clients: The TM1 Contributor client and the Enterprise Planning (EP) Contributor client.

The TM1 Contributor client is using the TM1 Contributor Rich Client (RCP) framework.
The EP Contributor client is using the EP Contributor Rich Client (RCP) framework.

When you install both Contributor clients on the same computer, you must install the TM1 Contributor RCP framework before you install the EP Contributor RCP framework, see the IBM Technote 1454803 ->
