Hi All,

My project phase has two environments

We do our developments and testing in testing environment and move those files to the production environment

For moving rule files , we need to move the rux and blb file of that cube(if i am not wrong)

While moving those files, i encountered that the changes were not reflected in the production

but i deleted the log folder after moving those files

And then when i start the DB, its got reflected in the production environment

the log folder size was about 7 GB

so is this necessary to delete the log files manually every time or is there any process to delete those log files when we startup the server

There is absolutely no correlation between log files and the active models. Log files are exactly what the name implies; a log history of transactions with "history" being the key word. Whether you move them, copy them, delete them, it doesn't matter as it will not affect the current objects. Your observation is merely coincendental.

I have a similar issue. Copying the RUX file over and then starting the server is not reflecting the rule file changes. Is there anything else we need to be doing?

What about the .blb file, did you copy it is well?
