A subset is not a consolidation, and vice versa.

A subset is one or more of the elements in a dimension. It's a collection, not a calculation.

You can define a custom rollup to add the values of a subset together (if your system is configured to allow it) but not when you want to weight something as -1 the way you want to with Scandanavia.

To do what you want you need to define a consolidation in the dimension editor, not create a subset in the subset editor.

I haven't ignored your question, but I was hoping that someone else would deal with it because it would be lengthy to answer. I was originally going to point you to the relevant section of the help documents but those seem to be "sub-optimal" for new users. Indeed, based on the current help it's a wonder that any of us figured out how to do this.

Best approach is just to play around in the Dimension Editor, referring to the help file as you do, in a development environment. It's actually pretty easy to get the hang of, but would take a rather long time to describe.
