Re: Subset Error
A subset is not a consolidation, and vice versa.ravi wrote:Hi

A subset is one or more of the elements in a dimension. It's a collection, not a calculation.
You can define a custom rollup to add the values of a subset together (if your system is configured to allow it) but not when you want to weight something as -1 the way you want to with Scandanavia.
To do what you want you need to define a consolidation in the dimension editor, not create a subset in the subset editor.

Re: Subset Error
I haven't ignored your question, but I was hoping that someone else would deal with it because it would be lengthy to answer. I was originally going to point you to the relevant section of the help documents but those seem to be "sub-optimal" for new users. Indeed, based on the current help it's a wonder that any of us figured out how to do this.ravi wrote: Thanks - Could you please help with steps to achive this- that will be a great help.
Best approach is just to play around in the Dimension Editor, referring to the help file as you do, in a development environment. It's actually pretty easy to get the hang of, but would take a rather long time to describe.
