Users unable to direct enter into a form

Post by M1ndbender »

Hi All,

I have a form that I can enter into as Admin, but users cannot. I have looked to ensure the users are in the proper write group, there is proper cube security, there is no dimension or element security on any of the dimensions or measures, there is no locks or holds, and the users are not set to read only.

I basically went through all the steps outlined in Wim Gielis's blog post and the users still can't enter in data. (https://www.wimgielis.com/tm1_cellchange_EN.htm)

Any advice on where to look next?

Thanks

Hi,

There's really only a couple of options here.

1. It is security and you've missed something in your analysis. It can't be locking as that would be impacting Admins too.
2. The view you're using as admin and as end user is different (i.e. consolidated / not at the lowest level) and so the cell is not updateable.

I don't think there are any other options really.

Hi,

I guess the only other thing is to run Security Refresh in case you haven't.

Don't know if this setting applies to admins or not and whether it would fit what about the "Allow Write Back from tm1web" setting per the screenshot attached. It might be set to disallow

Cell security?

Do you have a test environment where the users have access and where you can remove security stepwise (Refreshing security after each removal)?
