Distinguish between default and other hierarchies

Hi,

Does anyone know if we can distinguish between the default hierarchy and other hierarchies using TM1 objects? In order to find all the other hierarchies in a model, for every dimension.

The only place I can see where this is possible is in the }dimensions dimension, the other hierarchies seem to use the colon as a separator to identify the hierarchy,

For example, a Country dimension will have Country as the default hierarchy and Country:Leaves as the leaf hierarchy, Country:West as the West countries etc etc.

But, an existing default dimension may already contain a colon, so finding the colon is not really an ideal option, unless you are strict with naming conventions. Ideally all of these other hierarchies would be in a dimension of their own.

So, is there another way to identify all of the other hierarchies in a tm1 model?

Hello,

Is it possible to create a new dimension with a colon ? Not sure and not on my laptop to check.

I was lulled in by the fact that they are using a colon in these dimension names, so I just assumed that the character was allowed.

That is my excuse, but maybe Monday is a better one!
