TM1 10.2 control dimension write access

Hi,

I came across a problem with Control Dimension. I have two separate approval applications. The are using completely different cubes. I want both applications to have the same approval hierarchy and control dimension. However, when I try to set the WRITE access in control dimension to the same element, I get following error:

"The control dimension element <element_name> is a writable element of another application"

I thought, this is only problem for two applications sharing the same cube. Why can't I write to the same dimension element in completely different cubes??

Is your application set to use Element Security or Cell Security? I believe that is something you can set when deploying your application. That may have something to do with it....
