CAFE - COM Addin disappearance

Hi All,

Have any of you had issues with your CAFE "IBM Cognos" tab disappearing?

I've got a few of our Users set up on CAFE and able to use it for the last week or so, then this week, the "IGM Cognos" tab has dissappeared & there is nothing I can do to get it back.
We've tried
  1. restarting Excel
  2. Unselecting the COM addin & reselecting the COM addin
  3. Uninstalling the COM addin & reinstalling
Any suggestions?

One user did notice that his Chrome Browser was uninstalled at the approx. time he noticed CAFE not working.

Currently have an open ticket with IBM, will update when we have a solution

We have a sloution for this... Not sure why CAFE installed in this fashion for some users & not others...

1) Open Excel and Go to File -> Options
2) Select “Add-Ins”.
3) Go to “Disabled Application Add-Ins”. ( you need to scroll down. “Disabled Appliation Add-Ins” is in the end.)
4) Select “IBM Cognos Office for Excel 2007/2010” and select “Disabled Items” at Manage and select “Go”.
5) Select IBM Cognos office for Excel 2007/2010 and click Enable.

How simple was that!! :roll:
