Hi

Has anyone else had this issue?

Cognos Express 10.2 FP1
Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit
Excel 2010

I have created Xcelerator Web (TM1 Web) applications for users. I need to snapshot these to Excel but after it starts generating the excel files it does not finish:
I have tried this in IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari with the same result.

This worked in CX 10.2.1 before the Fix Pack.

The steps I have done to test this:
I re-installed a dev server (same spec as prod) with CX 10.2
I used the default location for the install
I created a simple cube with 3 dimensions and loaded some numbers: I created an Active form an loaded to Application
I opened this in Web and exported successfully I then upgrade the CX server to FP1
I deleted the TM1Web folder in the tomcat directory as required by IBM and deleted the browser cache
I opened the Websheet agani and tried to export it but it does not get past generating.

I can successfully export the cube view to Excel so I know that that feature works. It appears that only TM1 Web application fail. I created a snapshot, slice and Active form and they all fail to export.

I replicated this process on a Windows 7 machine with Office 2010 with TM1 10.2 FP1 and it exported successfully.

Does anyone have any idea if I missed something? Any ideas would be appreciated. I am in the process of raising a PMR as I believe it to be a bug but as the export to Excel is fairly widely used I am hoping it is specific to my environment.

This turned out to be bug. IBM released a hot fix around 30 June which resolved this. Contact IBM support for the hot fix.

FYI - To those requesting the Interim Fix from IBM to resolve this issue, the details are as follows;

interim fix: 10.2.1.1-BA-CX-IF2
Cognos Express 10.2.1.1 Interim Fix 2
The following files implement this fix.
up_cxsrvr_winx64h_10.2.5001.61_ml.tar.gz (4.4 GB)

Note: You won't be able to find this fix on the IBM website, you must raise a PMR incident with IBM and you will be provided a download link.
