My colleague has just uninstalled 9.5.2 and installed 10.1 on his local machine, for which he has admin rights. Now when he tries to open the add-in he gets this error:
Any ideas? I figure it relates to trying to load the dlls, so I tried updating the Path variable (it seems 10.1 doesn't update this automatically and the install location has moved from previous versions) but that didn't help.

Unlike programs which cost a fraction of the amount that TM1 does, but I made this point rather bluntly to IBM in the past. But then, they can automatically update older versions, too...Martin Ryan wrote:My colleague has just uninstalled 9.5.2 and installed 10.1 on his local machine, for which he has admin rights. I smell an .exd file issue again. Try cleaning out those and see whether that helps.Martin Ryan wrote: and the install location has moved from previous versions) but that didn't help.

Re: Error loading 10.1 add-in to Excel 2010
I had an issue that looks like it might have a similar cause.
Google took me to the IBM website where it said that Excel 2010 64-bit is NOT supported by the add-in. It advised that I should remove that and install the 32-bit version.
Kinda funny for a 64-bit application! Heck, CX is 64-bit only, so I reckon there will be a lot of frustrated users with 64-bit MS Office who are unable to run Xcelerator!
Sorry, for some reason I am unable to find the link to the IBM docs, but this happened a couple of days ago, so my memory is fresh on the issue.

Agree that CE only supports 32 bit Office 2010 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg27024128
But I believe this issue is related to a windows update http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... RXT&mync=R
Try removing the 10.1 client completely installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (I needed the SP1 version)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=5638
Then reinstall the 10.1 client

No such luck on any of those options. I guess he'll just have to use Citrix like everyone else. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
