Hide Sandbox - TM1Web

Post by yyi »

Does anyone know how to set tm1web not to show the sandbox?
there was a hide websheet toolbar in }ClientSettings but users need the other functions like slice and recalc.

the global;
# DisableSandboxing=T
in the server config works well, and was hoping to switch on for some groups
but it's not working for me..

TM1 now has the Cognos permission sets within the capabilities area, which is a bit confusing as I am unsure whther it is utilised yet.

I have allowed sandboxing by group through the capability assignments before, but I find it easier (at least to get started with what IBm does with the setting) to go to the server root, right click , select capabilities (this opens your cube you have a screenshot of but in a certain format), then grant or deny access ... then once you have done a few, go back to the control cube }Capabilities and see how it is managing this.

Dont think you can have the global setting = T AND the capability assignments working at same time. Global setting would be the dominant setting?

you're right! 'Deny' a security group in 'capabilities' disables sandbox for users in that group
when DisableSandboxing=F or omitted in tm1s.cfg, but Admin group can't be denied access
even when "use sandbox" capabilities are denied. (had integrated login so had to test using
someone else's machine)
