To Restrict an user to enter date value for a date field

Hello All,

How i can restrict an user to enter date only value in a date field with format MM/DD/YYYY. I tried it using Custom Style, i set the format as MM/DD/YYYY, but i can see, field is still accepting a string value instead.

And where exactly is this "date field"? In a cube, in a worksheet, in something else? Because TM1 does not have date fields, as explained here.

Actually users will enter data in cube through web-sheets and in any data field, we want them to enter value in format MM/DD/YYYY. So what is best way to achieve it?
