Re: Automatic commit of data entry in TM1 Web sheets via PAW

Thanks Declan, interesting approach though not really practical in my situation, you'd think we could just flip a switch somewhere.....

Re: Automatic commit of data entry in TM1 Web sheets via PAW

Thanks, I'm on prem (if that matters) and I don't see this (or any) option in the manage features space for the various releases I have available to me right now..

Automatic commit of data entry in TM1 Web sheets via PAW

Hi, I've had a good old hunt around in the various cfgs and so forth but can't find an option for what I want to do. So, is there a way of configuring TM1 web sheets access through PAW (from Pafe) so that cell values are committed to the DB on entry and the sheet refreshed, i.e. automatic calculatio...

Re: Comments and threaded conversations in dashboards

Note that in PAW that string cells can not be word-wrapped. This pretty much pushes you into a websheet for presentation of comments in many situations.

This has been previously raised and rejected in the RFE portal.

Re: Upgrading from TM1 10.2.2 to Planning Analtyics Local ( is PAW required? )

Good thread with many good points! (Especailly hierarchy aware formulas! After all these years....sigh) We pretty much exclusively put clients onto a RHEL 7 build at this time, just to back-up the comments about the windows build. The concept of PAW delivering the shared objects for Pafe is showing ...

Re: preventing automatic restart of databases after monthly maintenance

Ok

I guess ExecuteCommand ('cmd /c Net Stop ServiceName') would work in the TI as well then? (I've probably not got that DOS 100% right...)

Re: Rule/Feeder using attribute not calculating/working

So either you still have a feeder issue or you have another C level rule that is interfering with the consolidations. Suggest you do a trace feeder from one of the cells on the left of the feeder and make sure that what is happening is what you think. If the LHS of your feeder is ruled then it will ...

Re: Migrate ActiveForm from Perspectives to PAfE / PAX

Hi Mark, In what manner doesn't it work?

Do you have back and forth to TM1 whilst determining references (i.e. things link Dimnm, DImix, DBS, etc etc)?
Cheers,

Re: Rule/Feeder using attribute not calculating/working

Are you sure that Live CC is populated everywhere that the Pre-Opening CC is ? Does the CC consolidation 'Total Pre-opening' contain all the CC the rule applies too? Don't forget if you change the consolidation or the attribute values you'll need to recompile the feeders to get a true picture and ma...

Re: preventing automatic restart of databases after monthly maintenance

Not to cause an issue with your enhancement reqeust but in theory the following may work. Use the cfg parameter StartupChores= to launch a chore when the server starts. In the chore call a TI that shuts the DB down using ServerShutDown(SaveData); Not really the same as having it not spin up in the f...

Re: Cube View using attribute based Hierarches. Cannot use as TI data source

Hi JohnO, I'm using MDX views as datasources in TIs so there should be no issue there. From where you are saying you have multiple hierarchies from the same dimension in the view and therefore the dim count for the view does not match. I would try pointing the TI at a cube (create one if you need to...

Re: REST API - Pull data for data warehouse

Hi,
I'm not going to able to help directly other than to suggest that you look at TM1PY, which provides a python wrapper around the RESTApi.

Assuming you have access to some python skills it may be more straightfoward than doing this in REST from the ground up.

Cheers,

Re: Deleting even elements from dimension with process

Just to be difficult we also need to make sure we understand the definition of "even". This won't always match off to the index or every other element. Both ways the code is written above make underlying assumptions about the structure of the dimension. It might be right now but will it be right in ...

Hi, Please vote for my RFE, this has already been through a support call -> APAR-> OM reject cycle lasting 11 months so I'm keen to keep the profile of this high. https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.aha.io/ideas/PAOC-I-461 Details as follows. Re: Disable Change of Rules

If you are seeing that someone who is security admin is able to elevate themselves to admin then something is wrong. My understanding of what security admin is for is to allow the administration of users and security groups to a central IT function without them being able to see the data and or make...

Re: Problem With Slow process execution when Selecting child Elements and a single consolidated Element

Remember that by turning the C levels on you are returning the C levels across all dimensions. Potentially a huge number of intersections.

You should set all the other dimensions in the view to use a level 0 subset and just have the exact C level you want in the other dimension.

Re: Dimension Element Security - Most restrictive

Thanks Tom, I had the feeling that I was off somewhere, the documentation doesn't really cover when the security model applies differently to the same object. Not sure of the logic of implementing the security priority in different directions depending on the context. Anyway this was quicker than re...

Dimension Element Security - Most restrictive

Hi, As per documentation the most restrictive security that applies to a cell is that which is applied. For the same dimension element if a user is a member of two groups, one that gives read access and one that gives write access then the user ends up with write access. This is wrong as per the doc...
