Consolidation - disadvantages?
Hi, I've a requirement to club a few stores in the location/geography dimension and to find the sum of the sales figure. Though we've defined an flag attribute (Y/N), i presume we can only use the attribute to create a subset of stores which have the attribute as 'Y' or 'N' - and not create a consol...

What-If analysis with TM1.
Hi All,
Can somebody give me a few ideas/inbuilt mechanisms in TM1 which help you do What-If analysis?
I'm completely clueless about What-If analysis and thats why such a vague question. Sorry about it.
Regards,
Deepu.

Re: ***URGENT **** Error Registering object - while running
Thanks. But, I'm struggling to find out how to set 'admin' access to user groups? We have a user group called 'Planners' containing the names of all the Users (Planner role) maintained in the 'Clients/Groups' grid. Yes, Users need to be given access to upload the data as they are responsible to inpu...

Re: ***URGENT **** Error Registering object - while running
Thanks, But unfortunately it doesn't let me 'type' anything on the grid cells. Instead I can copy-paste contents from elsewhere into the grid cell. I am also unable to copy-paste anything other than 'None' or 'Read' - probably since these are the only two options which is NOT greyed out. It simply d...

Re: ***URGENT **** Error Registering object - while running
Thanks for your response, Marcus.
But, we also need to provide our users 'write' access on specific TI processes that are relevant to their areas.
How/Can we provide this access to the relevant user groups?
Regards,
Deepu.

Saving rules/feeders taking lot of time..
Hi All, We've a problem in our TM1 system...We've a few cubes with data which hold day-level data. When we write a rule/feeders in these cubes with day-level data and save, it takes a huge amount of time (say more than 1 hr), the screen grays out and we don't know whether something is being processe...

Re: Spreading Issue in Prod environment.
Thanks for your reply Lotsaram...But the environments are indeed the same at least in terms of the rules and the cube properties. Also I deleted all the rules from the cube, saved the rules (after blanking out), and then recalculated the cube. Then i tried the same spread but I'm getting hte same er...

Spreading Issue in Prod environment.
Hi All, We're facing a strange issue in the Prod environment. We'd moved all the cubes and the pdata files from the UAT environment to the Production environment last week. So now we have both - UAT & Prod - the environments up and running . I'm not able to spread data (Relative proportional/Equ...

Re: Hold Consolidate and Hold Release in TI
The first time round, if a hold has never been applied on a cube, how would the control cube '}Hold_UserName_CubeName' be created.
TI throws an error as 'Cube not found' while trying to write 'H' into the control cube.
Thanks,
Deepu.

The total size of our data directory is only 5 GB. Why is that the admin server needs so much space? Our total RAM size is 20 GB.

TM1 loading very slow.
Hi All, Our TM1 application is very slow in loading up. Also when 2 users open cubes simultaneously, they end up with "hanged" sessions. One more issue is that when TI processes run, the cube starts responding slow. I noticed something - the tm1sd.exe is holding up 19 GB of memory when the...

Re: Dynamic rule attached to a dimension?
But how do we ensure that the comparison of an old store is appropriately done as mentioned in my earlier post? Ex: Store opening date - 15 March 2009 Transition from Old store to new store - 15 March 2010 LY sales Vs TY sales at the end of March - (Sales of the store from 15 March 2010 till 31 Marc...
