Diffculty connecting to TM1 Mobile Contributor

Have entered the host in the format: web_server_name.domain_name.com.
The server port is entered as 9510, which is correct for our configuration.
When I try to logon on my ipad, I'm taken to the "login" dialog but the "User Name" and "Password" fields are frozen-- no entry is allowed.
One suspicion I have is this: Currently TM1 web has to be accessed with the port number as part of the URL, i.e. web_server_name.domain_name.com:9510. The browser will give an "unable to connect" error message if the URL does not include this port number. Configuration in the ipad app, however, restricts the "host" to be in a strict web_server_name.domain_name.com format; any inclusion of the port number in the URL is rejected with a "Host is invalid" error. My network guy doesn't think this is the issue, but I'm unsure.
Anyone else encounter a login dialog in the iPad app having frozen UserName and Password fields?

I should have also mentioned that I am able to access TM1Web using the iPad's browser at web_server_name.domain_name.com:9510/tm1web
I can also access TM1 Applications on the iPad's browser at web_server_name.domain_name.com:9510/pmpsvc.
So the iPad has the connectivity it needs, and my credentials are sufficient to get access to both TM1Web and Applications.

Sorry, I should have also mentioned that we've installed fixpack 1, and that I've updated the app on the iPad to the latest version.

For mobile contributor you should be prompted for the host in the form of - web_server_name.domain_name.com
And there is a separate field for the port - typically 9510.
The application actually talks to the pmhub - so it is assuming (hardcorded I guess) that the pmhub is running off that url at https://web_server_name.domain_name.com:9510/pmhub/pm/
You may want to connect to that from a browser and see what you get.
(In other words testing for connectivity to tm1web and TM1 applications is all very well, but you need to check for connectivity to pmhub)
If I remember rightly someone somwhere posted a public test server for tm1 mobile to this forum - you may want to test connecting to that as well.

Thanks for the suggestions and sorry for the delay in getting back.
Here's a summary of the updated situation:
*Web server is recognized by the iPad app (i.e. I don't get a timeout error when accessing)
*When I supply the login/pwd credentials I get an immediate "Error: The credentials provided are invalid". It's so fast that I don't think the app could have communicated with the server in that time.
*I can access tm1web using the iPad and safari. My credentials are accepted. I can see the applications in the "pmpsvc" page, select an application and view the data.
*I can use the iPad app to access a test application kindly made available by tm1tutorials. So the iPad app "works".
*The iPad configuration has the server web_server_name.domain_name.edu. I've entered 9510 as the port number (which I've confirmed is correct).
*I've been able to access the "pmhub/pm" page on the iPad using Safari as skinners666 suggested. I have not been supplied the permissions, however, to actually sign on.
*Am on 10.2 with FP1.
Any other ideas???

Am getting the exact same issues where the Username and Password fields seem to be frozen and you can't prompt the keyboard to type anything in. I am working with 10.2
Anyone else have any luck with it?

Ive seen a similar issue - it was to do with the name resolution of the tm1 server in the pm hub config.
Can you log with IBM support and let me know the PMR and I will ensure that the IBM dev team follow up with support.

Try the following:
login to
http://servername:9510/pmhub/pm/admin
Under Configuration, expand com.ibm.ba.pm.resource.security -> com.ibm.ba.pm.resource.security.dictionary and add the URL's for CAMBIURL and CAMGatewayURL.
Under com.ibm.ba.pm.resource.tm1 -> com.ibm.ba.pm.resource.tm1.dictionary, add the Host name using a Fully qualified Domain name.
From your iPad, try hitting the url
http://servername.company.com:9510/pmpsvc using, for example, Safari. If that works, you SHOULD be able to login to Mobile Contributor.
