Hello,

I installed 10.2 on a Test-machine and used the Standard Install-Directory. But now I try to install on another machine and want to use a different Location. But the field where the Installation-Directory is mentioned is write-protected and the button where it seems I can browse to a different Location is greyed out. Any hint how I can activate this?

Solved. I searched the registry and found some parts of a previous Installation including the Installation-Directory. After I deleted that key I can Change the Directory during the Installation process.

It should be "Install Location" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Cognos -> <Your previous uninstalled TM1 version> -> InstallStream

But why it was kind of locked

I have just found this in Planning Analytics Local 2.0.9.1, trying to install client software separately from the server install.

Has anyone raised this as an issue to IBM ?

Changing the registry worked (thanks 'hittony') but this should not be necessary.
