Hey there. I started in TM1 at British Aerospace building an activity based model for one of their sites. I worked on it for 3 years. The key part to the model we built was buy in from the business. They have to supply the allocation drivers for the allocation of none front line costs. From there the model itself was relatively simple. It's just an allocation road map. I would say however that as we had access to systems that told us the standard mechanism for the manufacture of each part, comparing standard cost to actual cost was very easy. It was only built for one part of the business. I left before it was expanded further,

Jim.

Short, concise and to-the-point reply. Good stuff.
