TM1 function names in Excel

Something that was brought to my attention by my colleague Pim Van Putten. Not sure what is going on.
If you are connected to TM1 trhough Perspectives and you type =DBRW in a cell, you'll get... a number.
See the 2 pictures below, I think they're self-explanatory. What is going on here?
