Hi, does someone know a forum for cubeware importer in english or german? The project in scope will use MS Navision and TM1 but not TI.

TIA and regards,

Marcus

Cubeware support are generally pretty good. I don't know of a forum as such other than the Palo sub forum for 3rd party tools.

Why no TI? Importer is a very nice graphical interface and a mature tool but TI is about an order of magnitude faster and sometimes a couple of lines of script is more efficient than lots of Imp mappings.

Thanks lotsaram,
of course I prefer TI as well, but in this case importer is already in place, maybe I'll convince the client to invest some EUR.

Regards,

Marcus

Although Importer lacks the raw speed of TI, I found from experience that it is easier to get to grips with for end-users (visual mapping versus scripting).
Nice feature in Importer is the fact that you can directly load data from a cube on one server to a cube on another server - where the cube on server one could even be a TM1 cube and on server two a PALO or MSAS cube. Another nice feature is the migration wizard that helps you migrate (cross-generate) your model (metadata) from one platform to another (f.i. from MSAS to TM1, TM1 to PowerOLAP, PALO to TM1, etc.).
