Performance Modeler User Bouncing

Hi there,
Looking through the documentation on the use of Performance Modeler, I note - and test by experience - the ability of a user with appropriate rights to bounce another user in an approval hierarchy. The documentation is very clear in the context of the bounder with three settings, relating to whether they get a verification message, but not for the bouncee.
Is anyone aware of a way to turn off that functionality in the configurations settings, or to provide the bouncee with a pop up screen advising them that they are about to lose access, and hence their work in progress? I recall from the old EP versions there was the ability to switch off the bounce capability.
This was tested on enterprise version 10.1
