Cross Domain Authentication

Hi,
We currently implement TM1 9.5.2 with the integrated login setting put on level 3 to only allow domain authentication, it appears that TM1 uses the User Principle Name to authenticate, this works on the domain that TM1 is installed on, however, we have recently integrated a separate domain, there is a active directory trust between the two domains, I was wondering why adding a user in from the other domain with their UPN does not work with windows authentication.
