Security change for application folders bug?

TM1.Event mt_CreateEvent: Creation of event 0x0000000000000000 failed.I created 1 parent folder and 5 subfolders in applications to place my TI's in there but when i changed the parent security useing right click security Public option.
my server literally dropped and i have over 15 log files (over 100mb) containing the line above.
This has happened twice with my instance but its not replicatable when I try to do the same again. it has happened once before. is this a known bug for tm1 10.1.2?
