Problem with Perspectives

I install latest update Cognos TM1 10.1.1 Fix Pack 1

I don't know how this:

Try install path to 10.1.7

can mean this:

I install latest update Cognos TM1 10.1.1 Fix Pack 1

but having that out of the way, you could have at least said something about your environment: your OS, Excel version etc...

I had this error when trying to install perspectives on a machine that had 64-bit Excel. Installing 32-bit Excel and then installing Perspectives fixed the issue.

reinstall Office to 32 bit version doesn't help
