Tm1 source data

Hi All,
Our current tm1 jobs source data is from ODBC (EDW SQls) and going forward EDW connection we will not be using for one of the Standalone business unit.
In order to keep tm1 jobs stable-we have option available
1) Request EDW team to push the data (CSV or text files) our Standalone business unit and then process tm1 jobs OR
2)Build a DW in our Standalone business unit.
Number 2 approach seems to lot of development efforts.
Please advise if there are any other approaches -tm1 stable.
