Hi all
Is there any possible way other than rebooting the system to refresh these Dimensions?
}PerfCubes &}PerfClients
When I add new clients to the system they do not show in this dimension and the same for cubes
thanks all

The new elements are only added when an event that triggers logging occurs (at least in 9.5.2, probably the same in 10.1). They aren't added at the time that you create the cube or the client, as the case may be.
(I also haven't checked whether StatsByCubeByClient is
still borked in 10.1 but shall when I get a chance. Regardless, the cubes that aren't should still trigger the element addition.)

That looks like a YES based on my experience (currently using bare 10.1.1 in prod and testing 10.1.1 FP1). It is still broken, no surprises there.

Im finding stats by cube by client is working in 10.1 here.

Log in as that client and interact with the cube(s). That's the only way I know of.

Isn't it just. The one and only decent method that we have of effectively monitoring who uses cubes and when, and it's been forked since 9.4. Oh well, guess it's not important for sales presentations, then.
The best part is this:
Code: Select all
Admin }StatsByCubeByClient Elapse Time (ms) View Calculation 18 44
Admin }StatsByCubeByClient Elapse Time (ms) View Retrieval 28789527375 5.0321E+12
Yeah, those "View Retrieval" times look oh so very plausible...
Maybe the }StatsByCubeByClient cube is actually a top sekrit test bed for a new random number generator.

Define "interacting".
Interestingly in 10.1.1 I didn't have to wait for a loggable event; the cube and client both showed up in the dimensions immediately after creation. I didn't even have to wait for the minute barrier to tick past.
However, at the risk of belabouring the obvious...
(a) You
have checked that Performance Monitor is running, yes? That when you right click on the server the menu option is "
Stop Performance Monitor", not "
Start Performance Monitor"? Because obviously Performance Monitor is not going to update its dimensions if it's asleep.
(b) You have opened the dimension and punched the All Elements button, yes?

Alan Not to want to argue with someone who is unquestionably the leading man in information on all that is Tm1 but i use this cube daily just to see who is logged in and which cube there in n the last hour. I dont use the values just the Who and it is by all personal reconciliations Correct 100% for this purpose, agreed i pay no merit to the actual data in the cube just the fact there is data.
and in answer to your two questions Performance monitoring is on and i have over the last few days been using the dimensionds for a week, I ended up rebooting instead

Hang on,
which of the PM cubes are you using? It's only StatsByCubeByClient that is borked, AFAIK. I checked this, and the question of whether the dims updated on 10.1.1 before I posted so if you're experiencing something different then something interesting is afoot. Do you have any hot fixes applied?
