Hide TM1 Application View(s) tabs published via PM

Hello All,
How do I hide the "views" tabs of an application that was constructed and published via Performance Modeler when the user does not have access?. I am using Cognos Express 10.1. Current behavior is that it says "file does not exist" when that particular tab is clicked upon.
All the views in the application are based on Active Form or a Slice.
The things I have tried:
- System.xml - even though it says for Cognos connection only, I was hoping it might help in any form and of course, it did not help.
- I saw some links about the web.config for TM1 Web configuration - but, did not find anything specific about hiding the tabs when the user does not have access.
The old TM1 Contributor based applications do hide the tabs or does not show when the user does not have access to those application tabs. We are facing this issue only with the new version 10.1 when trying to publish the application via Performance Modeler.
Thanks in advance.
