Could it possibly be because Windows Server 2012 is not a supported environment?

I don't have access to CX at the moment but from memory I think its in a folder along the lines of:

Program Files\IBM\CognosExpress\Logs\

I wouldn't recommend installing it on Server 2012 for the simple fact that if you do have any issues and need help from IBM, they will be under no obligation to help you and just state you are working in an unsupported environment. That being said... I expect it will work ok for the most part.

Thank you for your help... here is when error start it up:

Status: FATAL ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - An error occurred while disabling the directory listing option in web-xml file: C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Cognos Express\tomcat\conf\web.xmlTo make your application more secure, please try to set the 'listings' attribute to false manually and restart the service.
FATAL ERROR - An error occured during the installation of content store

any idea?

I'm going to state the obvious here but did you:
try to set the 'listings' attribute to false manually and restart the service
?

Sun,
CX is a complex environment (compared to vanilla TM1) and as Declanr points out you are unlikely to get help from IBM and even this the forum if you get come across further issues.

Why are you trying to install it in an unsupported environment?
- If it is for testing then why not wait for the supported version to come out ( hopefully not too soon)
- If it is a live system then are your users aware it will not be supported?
