Hi Team,
Can you pls. help me to solve and understand this issue.
Isssue: My business users can see Sandbox [Default] instead of [Base]. They completely work on perspective and don't work on Web.
However in admin access, I am able to see [Base].
When I promote their rights from FP&A to Admin they are able to see.
Possible cause: Unknown
changes done: OS upgraded from Standard Edition to Enterprise Win 2008 R2
RAM upgrade
Can anyone help me to get back [Base] for my users ?
Thanks,
Shan

Have you already checked the Capability Assignments? There are optional settings like Writeback Mode and Sandbox, which allow to set limitations on user groups.

Thanks Gabor,
User do have rights to create their own Sandbox.
and hence the rights is GRANT to them. However if you notice the SandBox Name "[Default]" is visible to users in Perspective, which is strange as this sandbox is enabled in web mode
for workflow / commit to base purpose. I would like to get back the [Base] version instead of [default] as they constantly have to commit to in-order to write back to the base version.
Any suggestion how I should enable [Base] instead of [default]
Regards,
Shan

Goto "Capability Assignments" and set "Personal Workspace Writeback Mode" to blank for the respective group.

Hi Gabor,
Thanks!!!... Its resolved.
To understand the issue in detail, can you help me to know why [default] got activated for users when we don't have Web in usage.
Regards,
Shan

Hi Shan,
I don't know your exact setup. By default TM1 Web simply takes over the configuration of the TM1 server for Capability Assignments.
So whatever capability is set for a user (or better for the group where this user belongs to) in Perspectives, this will be the setting in TM1 Web as well.
There is pretty good documentation available from IBM, to give you an overview on the writeback & sandbox modes and how they work together.
