We have upgraded from TM1 9.5.2 to 10.1 .The annoying thing for some end users they have to enter admin server name each time they login to TM1.How could this be avoided so that they wouldn't have to this.

Do you mean that:
1/ They have to enter the admin host each time they go into it because they are constantly swapping between services on different admin hosts?
2/ They have to enter the admin host the first time they log in for the new server and then it stays there?
3/ They enter the admin host and next time they come to their PC it has reverted automagically to the old host?
4/ None of the above?
Just a hint - Keep in mind that the tm1p.ini file for each user / default user holds their admin host parameter...

Thanks, declanr. The third option "3- They enter the admin host and next time they come to their PC it has reverted automagically to the old host" in our case.

Not one I have seen happen before but I suppose its possible that either the tm1p.ini is never being written to (possibly due to security) OR the tm1p.ini is written to but then the next time they log in the ini file is repopulated from the default user version of the file.
Try going into the ini file for one user and manually changing the parameter. Have them then open perspectives and check it is pulling it through correctly. After that have them log out of the PC and then log back in and again check if it is still pulling the parameter.
Also just get a user to change the admin server within perspectives as they normally would and then see if it has updated the ini file for them, if not it would suggest it is an issue with the security set up.
