Skipcheck and Feeders

I would appreciate if someone could explain in what scenario who would only users Feeders for example

Skipcheck;

Feeders;

[Revenue]=>[Profit];

On the other way around rules without feeders would hit the TM1 performance and may give incorrect results.Rally thankful if gurus could explain the both scenarios and circumstances when they are applied.Thanks

Not like that (an internal feeder in a cube with no rules); it would be pointless. Feeding to another cube, though, is an entirely different matter. Supposing, for example, that you have a volumes cube and a rates cube, as well as a calculated inventory cube. You would most likely feed from the volumes cube to the inventory cube even if the volumes cube did not need to have any rules itself.

May hit TM1 performance. In small, dense cubes it may not make any real difference if you omit both feeders and skipcheck. You should refer to the Rules manual for a discussion of what the purpose of Skipcheck is and why it is (usually) used.

... if you use skipcheck but don''t use feeders. If you don't use either the results should be fine but on a large, sparse cube you'll take a performance hit.
