Hi All,
I am currently using both TM1 Web and TM1 Application(I need TM1 Performance Modeler). I have two TM1 server running, Development and Production. During the login in TM1 Web, there are option for me to specify which server (Development/Production) that I would like to login to. However, when it come to TM1 Application, there are no option for me to specify the server to login to.
For TM1 Application I did the following already which is basically finish adding both Development and Production server into TM1 Applications Configuration:
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/ctm1/ ... _n395.html
Anyone have ideas on this issue? Should I specify the server login from the web link ?
The default web link for TM1 Application is
http://localhost:9510/pmpsvc
Thanks guys and looking forward for the reply ! CHEERS~

Hello wonghyjason
Once you are into Performance Modeler, if you use the 'connect' option from the top dropdown menu, do you see both TM1 server instances then? If you do, then one of them may well be checked as 'default' and 'do not ask again'. If you do not see both TM1 instances and you have not been warned of any other log in problems up to that point, then there was possibly an issue with the set up. You do not need to specify the server name in the URL, your URL seems fine therefore.
You also need to make sure that your credentials are in sync between the various instances. When you log on to the application portal, TM1 will validate your credentials against all the available instances. It will default to the instance where you have valid credentials for that session, even if other instances are available. TM1WEB by contrast validates credentials only for the instance that you are connecting to.

Hi cgaunt,
Thanks for the prompt reply! Yes, I can see two TM1 instance (Development/Production) when I login to TM1 Performance Modeler.
However, Error will show during my Login to TM1 Application because I have the same username in both server but different password being set.
For instance, my Login For Development adn Production will be as follow:
Development: Admin/ pw: 12345
Production: Admin/ pw:24680
So when if I login using Development username and password, then error will show "The following TM1 servers could not be reached: Computer01:Development " where Computer01 is my adminhost. and vice versa with production username and password.
Therefore I am curious to know anyway to specify the server that I am logging into similar to TM1 Web.
Again, Thanks so much for the reply cgaunt.

I dont think you can log in to the application server in the same way that you log into TM1WEB. I will gladly bow to the more experienced views of anyone else on the forum in the event that I am incorrect. The discussions I have had with the IBM product development team all indicated that your credentials (the set that you enter as you log on to the application server) are validated accross all registered instances at the point that you log in. It does really force you to maintain various sets of credentials to one common standard, if you choose to use the application security.
