Hi,

I have seen that there is a new TM1 user license called "IBM Cognos Advanced Planner Authorized User License". (if not new, it is new at least for me)
Could someone explain what is the difference between TM1 Advanced Planner and TM1 Contributor user licenses?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

I have just checked the latest price list from our distributor ( 20,899 part numbers !) and cannnot find that description. It is possible it is described differently or is a new role, not yet on the price list. ( there have been suggestions of new roles in the past).

Where did you see this ?

Found it, This is a new license role that came in Q4 last year.

It combines TM1 Contributor and BI Advanced Business Author licenses. So is appropriate if you wish same person to use TM1 and Cognos BI. Note that you need at least 1 BI Administrator license as well to enable this license.

Thanks Stephen. That is close to what I was guessing. However, are you sure that it is BI Advanced Business Author and not BI Enhanced Consumer?

In the IBM doc I have it definitely says "BI Advanced Business Author" in bright green. The role was introduced with TM1 10.1.1. This is from a partner presentation so I cant send it to you but, if you email me via profile I will see what else I can dig out.
