Hi All -
I have assigned a pick list of service functions on one of the string measures and it has following members;
'
- Delivery
- Organisation
- Admin
I built this model in TM1 Architect, and was able enter a couple records correctly, including selecting a value from the pick list. I packaged the data model into Cognos Insight application manually, and opened up Cognos Insight, and it started to act weirdly. Now, when i drag and drop the cube into Insight tab, and try to select 'Delivery' as the value from the pick list, it gives me the following error:
update cell data error.
Invalid Cell Data
Cell Data not updated
Details:
SPREAD INVALID SYNTAX (Function):(3): Delivery
If i select Organisation or Admin from the pick list drop down, i don't get any errors. This pick list defined in measure attributes, and comes from a static subset from service delivery dimension. The element 'Delivery' is very much there in the dimension as well. I am not doing any rule or data driven operation using the element Delivery. furthermore; I am able to select 'Delivery' in Architect and enter data without any errors.
Could you please help me with this one?
Environment: Cognos TM1 10.1.1 & Cognos 10.2
Windows 2008 Server
Thanks.

Re: Picklist in Cognos Insight data spread fails on one elem
I doubt you are going to get much help on this forum for Cognos Insight because:
1) Cognos Insight is not TM1. It's a personal analytics tool that has the capability of accessing data from TM1;
2) It's a pretty new product and
3) No developer that I know of would recommend a client use Insight as a front-end to TM1 over Perspectives or TM1Web.
I know very little about Insight except what I've seen in the sales demos. It's not even close to being a mature product.
