I have a cube view filtered so that it's showing the leaf elements but the cells are all greyed out and I can't figure out why. There are no rules on the cube. Is there any other reason that would cause a leaf element to be greyed out? Thanks.
Cheers,
Greg

What about the title elements in the view? Are you absolutely certain they are not consolidation elements? What about security? Do you have WRITE access to the elements?nerph wrote:I have a cube view filtered so that it's showing the leaf elements but the cells are all greyed out and I can't figure out why. Do you have admin access? If not then it's probably something to do with security.
If you are admin and you are sure that the leaf cells are not rule derived then it could be to do with locking (which is like an extra level of security on top of the standard security model). Check that 1/ the cube is not locked, 2/ that any of the elements in the view you are looking at are not locked.

Ah yes, my mistake. One of the title elements was actually a consolidation with a very similar name to a leaf element. It's working fine now. Thanks.

Don't forget that if you come across this situation in future you can right click on the cell (in Cube Viewer) and choose "Edit Status". It will pick up issues like that and sometimes tell you where the problem lies.nerph wrote:Ah yes, my mistake.
