Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know the 1st steps to establish connection to SAP (ECC 6.0) using TI ?

There seem to be some posts relating to people who are already running queries but nothing for people who have only used text file, odbc [system dsn] or none.
And i've had a look at the FAQ as well (Thanks Alan [from another post]).
Any ideas or comment(s) would be good

There are two SAP BW Connectors for TM1:


1)
The old TM1 SAP BW RFC Connector aka the Syskoplan Connector. The Syskoplan Connector cannot access SAP ECC.

IBM Cognos stopped to offer and sell the Syskoplan Connector in August 2010:

According to your screenshot you tried to use the Syskoplan Connector to access SAP ECC.

The new TM1 Package Connector.


Using Virtual View Manager (VVM) it is possible for the TM1 Package Connector to access SAP ECC, see for instance the thread

Looks like a lot of reading to do and also need to make more friends with IT, ECC and dept controlling Cognos 8.4.
Just downloaded package connector and need other parts to get a connection going...
