Can we write a TI or Macro code to update XDI file and then save the changes to DIM file?
I just want to automate the process to update the weighting of a dimension. Please advise.

Have you looked at D_SAVE and D_FSAVE? The links are to 10.1.0 documentation but the function has been around for ages.
