Hi, I have created a DQM package based on TM1 cube and published it into Cognos connection successfully. But when i tried to open the package in RS, it saying that "The server returned an unrecognizable metadata response". I can't open them in QS and AS also. Does any have any idea?
TM1 is 10.1 and FM, Cognos is 10.1.1

Who can help me?

Did you look at / try the suggestion on this page?

Have you had luck before? Or is this the 1st time you publishing a package using TM1 as data source? CQM/DQM should not matter at this stage since you are just getting started with report building. Is there any dimension security present in any of the cubes that you published?

This is very generic error. Perform the operation once more and then open your Cognos server log file (BI side), scroll to end and start searching up from there. You will see more detailed explanation in the log file. Hopefully the log file will tell you what is the error.

Thanks, Alan. I have tried but no luck. No message pops up and just a empty interface to wait for you to add a rule. Nothing special.

Thanks, sachin. I don't have any problem by using TM1 as source. The DQM package is published successfully without any issue. But this error only appears with DQM package when I try to open it with any tool. It looks like something wrong with server-side configuration. I don't have permission to check server log. Maybe next time I will involve admin to check it.

Just get update from our cognos admin guy. He disabled query service last time coz it wasn't used and was causing stability issues in the previous Cognos version. I think that is the root cause. I will keep update in this thread.

Another possibly for this particular error msg is forgetting to set the measure and time dimension properties of the cube in TM1.

Hi Macsir, did you resolve this with those changes,m we have the exact same issue with DQM packages only (not CQM)

Anyone else have this issue? and / or suggestions

it is not the case here as I checked it and set them up.

Yes, it is because of disabled query service as it is required by using DQM. CQM is not relevant.

Was a version bug for Cognos 10.2 GA ( 10.2.1003.1075-0 ).
