Applying FP1 on TM1 10.1.0

Post by rinkugarg072 »

Hi All,

I installed TM1 10.1.0 (64bit) on windows 7 machine and configure all required configuration and checked all web links (web, OperationConsole, pmpsvc) are running fine.

After that I applied FP1 with default installation on same machine, Now, I am not finding necessary configuration files in which I have to apply configuration. I try this two time and observed that before applying FP1 all files are exist on their respective location but when I applied FP1 it replace some files from that location

Note: During FP1 installation it take installation directory same as TM1 installation directory and give a message to us like "This installation will replace existing files. Select Yesto automatically create a backup of all files that are replaced " I choose Yes here.
Please let me know which option should I choose for proper installation YES or NO? I tried with YES. or If I am missing anything please let me know. your help will be very appreciated.

It might be worth mentioning which actual files are going missing and from which directory?
Are you sure you need them?
Anything to stop you copying them out and then back in again post install?

Choosing either Yes or No will have no effect on the success of your upgrade. All you are choosing is whether the files that are going to be replaced are going to be put into a backup file or not. If you have installed in the default location, look in C:\Program Files\IBM\Cognos\TM1_64\uninstall\backup and you should find a copy of the files that were backed up from when you chose Yes.

If it is the pmpsvc files that have gone missing, have you restarted your Application Server? If you are not using the built in Application Server have you created and deployed a new pmpsvc.war file?
