why element type always almost be numeric TI ?

Post by Taylan_Oner »

Hi Dears,

I have a tough question which I haven't found its answer anywhere.

First of all, I attached the situation as a JPEG. I have a TI Process for creating a cube. And it made from 4 dimensions.
The question is why dimension's Element Types always should be NUMERIC? Actually they are String except measure dimension ! I really confused :)

Friends, waiting for your comments

Denotes the data you are going to load corresponding to the dimensions. The dimension elements are defined as numeric (in the dimension editor) if you are storing numbers, they are defined as strings if you are trying to come up with something like a lookup cube or store comments.
