Is this recommended to have Data Directory in SAN Drive, I heard this is the new technology where we no need to worry about how much data folder increases in future and have many advantages for infrastructure team to maintain,monitor and support. Basically will this degrade performance of TM1 Application as network/firewalls will be involved between TM1 Server and Data Directory ?

Did any one have tried this ?

We have used SAN for a few years and it works just fine. Performance is entirely dependant upon your IT infrastructure, as long as it is setup correctly you will not notice a difference. Suggest you speak to your IT suppliers though, as they are the only people that will be able to advise you in anythign other than just a general comment.
