TM1 9.4 (x64) - No Gateway for 32 bits ODBC drivers

Hi all,
I was told that the Axnet Gateway has been removed in 9.4 as it does not support Unicode.
So what are we expected to do when using the Gateway when upgrading to 9.4?
Any suggestions out there?
Alain :?

Does this mean nobody will be able to setup ODBC connections to a windows box when having your main installation on a Unix box?

Jim.

Raise an SR/whinge to your a/c manager.
I would surmise that installation of 9.1 AXNET might work (it's just a comms layer after all) but (of course) it depends what is 'supported'.

Hi, have you found the solution for this?

Previously, my TM1 server is HP-UX unix 9.0 SP2, my database Oracle 10g in the same unix box. We connect from TM1 server to the Oracle via Windows machine where we set the ODBC to point to the database. While in TM1 server tm1s.cfg we have these parameters set:
UseELFODBC=T
ELFODBCServer=10.128.1.94
ELFODBCUserName=dwhbl2
ELFODBCPassword=

Now, we want to move the TM1 server to 9.4 MR1 for Solaris unix. The oracle databse still sits on HP-UX unix. I was told the same thing that axnet is no longer supported, and those parameters above are no longer in 9.4. Instead, I must install 64 bit ODBC driver for unix in the TM1 server machine (solaris), which I am not sure where to get it from.

I have tried starting the TM1 server in 9.4 Solaris with those parameters included. When I browser the ODBC datasource from TI process, it seems that those parameters are not recognised and the TI just tells me no ODBC source available

Thanks
Andre
