Cognos Express 10.1 Xcelerator Client Excel error

Hi All,

We are on IBM Cognos Express 10.1 version. Right now on our Production
server we are getting an error saying 'System Error &H8004011 (-2147221231), ClassFactory cannot supply requested class' and after 'Out of Memory' error while
openening Xcelerator client on MS Excel 2007. This environment was working fine earlier. But with security updates for MS Excel 2007 getting installed,
we started facing issues while launching Xcelerator Client. After that we re-installed MS Office 2007 and Cognos Express on this box but started getting this particular error.
Checked Knowledgebase and followed instructions on this document - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg21573661, but still we are
getting the same error.

Any help to resolve this issue is much appreciated.

One of these fixes should resolve the issue:
For Excel 2007

Before these tech notes came out
I found that although I had the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable installed
I needed the SP1 version

then remove and reinstall the Xcelerator Client
