TM1 Websheet security

Post by alexhancock »

Hello,

I'm trying to restrict websheets to certain users only. Currently I can see that you can only allocate 'None' or 'Read' only to the Cognos\Everyone group, all other security groups are greyed out. This looks like it should be controlled by a cube - and I can see the }ApplicationEntries dimension which contains the list of applications, but I can't see any control cubes that use it. Has anyone got any ideas as to how this can be accomplished?

Many thanks,

Alex

What you are looking for is the }ApplicationSecurity cube. Like all security cubes in TM1 this cube won't actually exist until you set security for at least one application folder or entry.

Application security is like a special case of element security. As in it is just like element security except that it is the opposite of element security because unlike normal element security where once it is used the default access level is NONE if not specifically defined (e.g. the cell in the security cube is blank) for application security the default access level is READ if not explicitly defined. So care needs to be taken.

Great thanks! It's just because I hadn't modified any existing security that It didn't exist.

Cheers,

Alex
