Use of TM1's _Windows_ Performance Monitor counters

I'm interested to know if forumers use this feature, and if so, which counters they find useful to monitor. The training material gives 'Dimensions: Dimensions Created' as an example - surely not the best 
And I also wonder whether there are alternative output techniques as I don't find Casualty-style sliding graphs to be of tremendous value - but then I don't monitor servers much.
