I have a system with TM1 10 newly installed on it. I have been trying to publish a workspace from Cognos Insight into TM1. However, the publish is unsuccesful and the error message that system throws is "Publish failed: Failed to publish the application workspace xxxxx . Com.ibm.cognos fpmsvc.exception.FPMSVCException: An execution occured on the server. Please contact your system administrator.:com.ibm.cognos.tm1.TM1exception:SystemServerConnectionFailed :EXCEPTION"

One of the possible suggested soultion that I found is editing the configuration file at lcoation "install_location\webapps\pmpsvc\WEB-INF\configuration\fpmsvc_config.xml ". But not sure what excatly needs to be edited there. Also not sure whether it is the right solution for this issue.

Hi,

Assuming that you are going through the publish wizard to completion, and then you are getting the error.

What user are you logging on as?
Do you have access to where the published TM1 server will be running? If yes can you check if you can see that service and whether is is running?

Thanks for the response. This issue is resolved now. It looks like the reason for this issue could be that we had Apache tomcat was already installed in the system prior to 10.1 installation. As I understand the TM1 10 also includes a tomcat component and hence I uninstalled the separate tomcat application and then the publish went successful.

Sorry to highjack, but I have the same problem when trying to publish. What are the solutions?
