Hi,
What type of Protocol use the any version of cognos TM1 ?actually my applications are not webbased app.
kindly guide me?

You may want to rephrase your question, it doesn't really make sense as is...
When you say Protocol, what do you mean can you give examples?

between server and client intraction should we use any Protocol ?
Actually we plan to monitor the application using the port number and
do this is do we really use any Protocol for it?

In the normal LAN/WAN environment, TM1 clients communicate with the remote server using TCP/IP Network protocol.
